...But first I want to hear about YOUR workouts.
Tell me how you get creative with Dad Fitness to stay fit this winter by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post.
Saturday was such a beautiful winter day here in Labrador, sunny and -10 degrees Celsius. Yeah, that is tropical for us up here in Northern Canada during winter.
So with the days slowly getting longer, my wife and I took our baby daughter out on the local cross-country ski trails. But we didn't use skis, that would be too easy!
...We rented snowshoes for ourselves and this cool Baby Glider sled that you strap around your waist so you can tow your little one behind you. Pretty cool!
We did the 6 km trail around Dumbbell Lake, (that really is the name!)
It took us almost 2 hours over the groomed trails and picturesque winter scenery but we enjoyed every minute of it, and baby Matea was so cozy she fell asleep for the last 3 km.
After all that we were starving and we were luckily invited to the in-laws for a hearty and healthy meal of homemade beef stew with lots of fresh vegetables and tender cuts of meat. A great way to end a picture perfect day...
So make your weekends or days off between your Dad Fitness Workouts time for trying different fun activities with your family no matter what season it is.
There is nothing like getting out in the fresh air, spending time with your family and getting fit, all at once... That's what Dad Fitness is all about!
