If your a busy dad who works hard to provide for your family, you need real food thats good for you but actually tastes good!
We had unexpected dinner guests over this evening. Someone suggested take-out pizza but I had a better idea and I made tasty wholesome homemade pizza. They all said it was the best pizza they ever had!
Pizza is by far my favorite food period. But if your slamming down take-out pizza or the store bought junk say good-bye to being a fit dad.
It always is best to stick with natural whole foods even if your eating a little higher calorie foods. Here is my healthy homemade pizza recipe. Keep the portions to 2 slices and add a side salad.
Dad Fitness Pizza
2 cups of whole wheat flour
1 cup of warm water
1 pk quick rise yeast
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp natural honey
half tsp salt
Mix and let rise for at least 20 min.
Here is the toppings I like.
cooked extra lean ground beef or grilled chicken instead of pepperoni
red onions
mushrooms
bell peppers, green, yellow, red
hot pepper rings
sun dried tomatoes
black olives
fresh oregano
Bake for 25 mins at 425 deg.
